Punjab is well-known as the land of 5 rivers. The place is famous for its religious diversity and the food. The variety of foods made in Punjab is some of the best you will find in India. 1. Amritsar: - The moment the name Amritsar comes up, everyone sure thinks about the beautiful Golden Temple. The place is filled with ancient shrines, and the city of Amritsar has the old world goodness of Punjabi culture till date. If you visit Amritsar, do not forget to see the Golden Temple, Akal Takht, Wagah Border, Rambagh Garden, Bathinda Fort, Durgiana Temple and few other tourist spots.

2. Chandigarh: - Chandigarh is a capital for Haryana and Punjab both. The city is one of the cleanest in the country. Though the city has modernized a lot, yet the natural treasures still remain a part of it. Some of the destinations worth visiting in Chandigarh are Rock Garden, Leisure Valley, Sukhna Lake, Timber Trail, Rose Garden, Chhatbir Zoo and the International Museum of Dolls.


3. Jalandhar: - Jalandhar is famous for the history and sports. This city has some of the most historical sites, which are important and have religious significance to them. While you are travelling around in Jalandhar, do not forget to visit, Tulsi Mandir, Shiv Mandir, Wonderland Park, Imam Nasir Masjid, Sheetla Mandir, Niku Park and Company Bagh.

4. Ludhiana: - The largest city in Punjab is none other than Ludhiana. It has a number of ancient monuments and religious centres. The land is well-known as it was a significant part during the freedom fight. Though there are fewer tourists who visit this place yet if you are on a Punjab tour, you must go to Ludhiana once. Do not forget to see Lodhi Fort, Tiger Zoo, Phillaur Fort, Deer Park, Nehru Rose Garden and other destinations.

5. Patiala: - The former princely city, Patiala is also known as the land of newspapers. The city is said to have some of gorgeous architectural works, which reflect the past of the country. There are many attractive spots you must see in Patiala. Some of them are, Banur, Moti Bagh Palace, Kali Temple, Sheesh Mahal, Samana and Darbar Hall.

6. Bhatinda: - The city is considered to be the most ancient one in Punjab. A lot of monuments, which still stand strong in Bhatinda, were made in 3000 BC! Of course, it is well-known for the historical spots and is also popular due to Guru Gobind Singh. Some of the most visited sites in Bhatinda are Qila Mubarak, Bhatinda Fort, Bhatinda Lake, Lakhi Jungle, Chetak Park, Rose Garden, Dhobhi Bazaar and many others.
