Refreshing Green Tea Recipes

Lone standing or teamed with heavenly flavored combinations, green tea is a brew packed with antioxidants which can refresh, energies, and keep chronic illness at bay. They are tons of delicious and innovative blends of green teas with herbs and spices. Some popular ones include flavors like honey lemon green tea, jasmine, mint, tulsi, ginger, cinnamon and cardamom. Let’s start with few recipes:



Chilled Minty Green Tea:

A refreshing treat on a hot summer day is a concoction of minty chilled green tea. Crush a handful of fresh mint leaves and place them in a glass pitcher. Add three to four green tea bags and pour hot water over them. Don’t fill the pitcher to the brim. Cool the beverage at room temperature. Next, cover and refrigerate the brew for approximately four-six hours. Take out the tea bags and serve the drink on the rocks. Add honey for sweetening and garnish with fresh lavender leaves for an aromatic touch.

Lemon Green Tea:

This is a great recipe for people who relish the flavor of honey lemon green tea. Take a large teapot and then place a couple of lemon green tea bags in it. Pour hot water and let the beverage brew as per preference. Letting it stand for 5-8 minutes usually works. However, if it happens to be strong, it can be diluted by adding some more simmering water. Transfer the contents into a glass jar. Add honey and a few lemon drops. The drink can be enjoyed hot or cold.
Green Jasmine-Mint Tea:

Steep 5 tea bags of jasmine green tea, plus a handful of mint leaves in simmering water for just about five minutes. After removing the tea bags and mint leaves, pour the liquid into a glass decanter. Stir in quarter cup lemon juice and dissolve a few tablespoons of honey. Next add cold water. Refrigerate for about 2 hours until nice and chilled.  Serve over crushed ice with the garnishing of mint sprigs.


Tulsi Green Tea:
When it comes to beverages, nothing beats the enjoyment derived from a cuppa of soothing tulsi green tea in India. The recipe is easy and preparation is a piece of cake. All it takes is 2 cups of water, 2 bags of green tea and 2 teaspoons of sugar.  Boil water and when it starts simmering dip the tulsi tea bags in it for a couple of minutes. Add sugar or honey as per taste. Voila, your beverage is ready. Enjoy the aroma and taste of the tulsi green tea of India.
