Exercise And Pet-Sitting For Your Dog

Keeping a pet can be a very emotionally enriching experience, especially a dog.  Dogs provide us companionship and give us their unreserved love and affection, but having one entails responsibilities too.

Exercising your dog:

Dogs too have their own needs.  They require exercise just as we do.  Dogs often when not walked tend to exhibit destructive behavior, which might put us at our wit's end as to how to handle them.  Depending on their age, health and breed, dogs need to be walked for at least 30 minutes including small breeds.  Many of us are working full time and hardly have time enough for our own exercise, leave alone our pets'.  Also, many of us are probably not keeping good health ourselves to take our dogs out much as we would like.  This is where a professional dog walker can be a big help.  A dog walker is a person, who is paid to take a dog or a set of dogs for a walk either daily or several times in a week.

Dogs do not like to be left alone

Dogs being pack creatures are social and keeping them unattended for long periods of time can also make them depressed or destructive.  Often, it becomes difficult for us as we have to travel or our profession demands a lot of time outside the house.  In such cases we often look to friends or neighbors to lend a helping hand or in some cases the dog needs to be kept outside the home.  In these cases, professional help from pet sitters can be of great help.  They are professionals who look after your pets if you are away on vacation or out for long periods of time.  They can come in several times a day to ensure your dog gets food, water, etc. on time, clean out the litter box or even stay overnight if required or as long as you want and also walk the dog, thus avoid displacing the pet or requesting reluctant neighbors or friends to look after your pet.
