Are you interested in getting your real estate license in the state of Nevada? Learn what steps you need to take to get started today!
1. Choose a Real Estate School
The first step in getting your Nevada Real Estate License is to complete the required 90 hours of real estate education. There are several real estate schools to choose from that will allow you to meet this requirement, so you will need to determine which school best meets your needs. Depending on your preference, you can also take classes online if the school you choose has that option.
2. Pass Your Nevada Real Estate Exam
After you complete your 90 hours of schooling, you need to achieve a score of 75 percent or higher on your Nevada Real Estate Exam. The test includes all multiple choice questions and includes both national and state portions. The first national portion consists of 80 questions that you have a total of two hours to answer. The state portion includes 40 questions that you have one hour to answer. If you fail the test the first time, don't fret! You can retake the test, but every time you take the test there is a $100 exam fee. If you are struggling to pass the exam, there are helpful resources for helping you study.
3. Complete Your Application
At this point, the most difficult part of getting your Nevada real estate license is already over! However, you still have one last essential step. You will need to fill out a formal application which must include fingerprints, be notarized, and include your exam results. There is a $125 dollar real estate license fee. The application will also ask if you meet the following requirements:
·         You must have at least a high school diploma or GED
·         You must be 18 years or older
·         You must be a legal citizen or lawfully admitted alien

Be prepared to answer other questions about your criminal background and history as well.
